TriActive

Low-energy laser treatment

  • Low-energy laser treatment
  • The TriActive treatment
  • Maintenance required
  • This treatment combines low-energy laser energy with mechanical massage to break down the pockets of fat that create the rippling appearance of cellulite. The Food and Drug Administration has approved this device’s use as a nonmedical laser, which means that non-physicians, such as medical aestheticians, may use it on patients.

The scientific theory behind TriActive is that it stimulates blood flow to the fat cells, which causes the fibrous bands of connective tissue that “trap” excess cellulite fat to dissolve

TriActive is often used as an adjunct treatment to traditional liposuction

    The TriActive treatment

The 20-minute treatments are generally painless. The energy pulses from TriActive’s diode lasers are very low, so they produce no noticeable heat.

    Maintenance required

6-12 twice-weekly treatment sessions are generally recommended. TriActive’s effects are temporary, however. You’ll need regular maintenance treatments to keep the cellulite from returning.
