  • The SmoothShapes treatment

    • SmoothShapes combines laser and light energy with vacuum massage to break loose the engorged lipids, or fat, from the rigid mesh of fibrous septae that help to create cellulite skin. The treatment leaves the skin looking tighter and smoother.

    FDA approved

    SmoothShapes has received clearance from the Food and Drug Administration for temporarily ridding the skin of cellulite. It can be used anywhere on the body, but the areas most commonly treated include the hips, buttocks, abdomen, thighs and arms.

    The SmoothShapes treatment

    During treatment, you’ll experience a warming of the skin and a sensation similar to a deep tissue massage. Afterwards, you’ll feel like you just put the treated area of your body through an intense physical workout.

    A SmoothShapes treatment tends to take 30 to 90 minutes. You can resume your normal activities immediately, although your skin may look pink and feel warm for a few hours. Typically, a series of 8 to 10 treatments over a 4-week period is recommended, with maintenance treatments every 6 months.
