Developed originally in Europe to help ease pain associated with poor blood circulation and stiff joints, Acoustic Wave Therapy is now also used around the world to reduce unsightly cellulite. It’s important to note, however, that no cure or magic technology exists for the reduction of cellulite. Consult with an experienced physician prior to choosing any treatment for your body.

This non-surgical technology attacks cellulite by delivering acoustic vibrations through the skin’s surface and into the bulging pockets of fat cells that form the characteristic dimples of cellulite. Proponents of this technology claim these vibrations ‘shatter’ the fibrous septae (collagen) compartments, which then releases the indentations. There are no long-term US clinical trials yet which have confirmed these claims, however.

Acoustic Wave Therapy has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of cellulite. It’s most commonly used to smooth cellulite-dimpled skin on the thighs, buttocks, stomach and arms.
