Accent XL

  • The Accent XL treatment
  • This non-invasive procedure uses high-frequency radiofrequency heat to rupture the chambers of fat that make up cellulite. Accent XL’s manufacturer claims that the fat cells then "melt" and merge with other fluids in the body’s lymphatic system—fluids that are gradually excreted as natural waste material. The result may be a reduction in the appearance of cellulite dimpling and more youthful skin.

    The Accent XL treatment

Most treatment sessions last about half an hour. Your physician will calibrate the area and depth of fat to be treated. He or she will then sweep the two separate Accent XL hand pieces (each treats different levels of fat) across your skin in circles. A built-in cooling system will keep your skin’s surface from becoming too heated. You should experience no discomfort throughout the procedure.

For best results, 3 to 5 sessions are typically recommended. The sessions should be at least two weeks apart to give “melted” fat enough time to leave the body through urination. Accent XL results are temporary; maintenance treatments are advised.
