Dr. Carolyn Jacob is a board certified Dermatologist and Harvard trained cosmetic and laser surgeon. She is the Director of Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology, and has been practicing since 2000. Dr. Jacob and her staff at CCSD provide state of the art laser treatments for brown spots, redness, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, skin tightening, and laser hair removal. Body contouring with Zeltiq CoolSculpting for non-surgical fat removal, Pure Tumescent Liposuction, and Thermage Cellulite treatments are also available. In addition, they provide comprehensive skin care and general dermatology for men and women, from infancy to adulthood, with most insurances accepted.

Reducing the appearance of cellulite is one of the toughest goals to achieve in skin care. Millions of creams, treatments and lotions have been tried over the years, only to fail to make a dent in those unsightly dimples on our skin. Fortunately researchers have been hard at work on the tricky problem of cellulite. A number of new treatments are now available which target cellulite. Some use lasers to heat up the underlying skin, others use a form of mechanical message, while still other treatments aim to improve cellulite with radiofrequency energy. A number of new devices utilize a combination of all the above in an effort to improve cellulite as much as possible. Nothing yet is the perfect cure for cellulite, but these new technologies are often able to improve the appearance of it.

It’s important to understand the limitations of treating cellulite. If you go out looking for a ‘quick fix’, you are setting yourself for disappointment. If you are hoping to reduce the appearance of cellulite on your body, call today to schedule a consultation so a physician may sit down with you and discuss your options for treatment.

Best place in Chicago to get a microderm treatment - loved how wonderful my face felt and looked immediately after the treatment. In about a half hour I was ready to go out looking great!

Dr. Jacob and her staff made this treatment a great experience. The laser treatment itself was done in a very professional manner. I honestly recommend Dr. Jacob and her staff for laser hair removal - I have never been so satisfied with the outcome and experience! Never a long wait at this doctor office.
